I love disc golf: the joy of seeing a disc in flight. The thrill of hitting a long putt or an even longer approach. I also love discs. I can’t think of another sport that evokes as much passion for the equipment.

I started playing disc golf in 1991, founded the San Francisco Disc Golf Club in 1997, and started doing custom dyes on my discs in 2003. That picture to the left is of a 2003 champion Firebird with my first custom double-Q dye on it getting thrown on #16 at Stafford Lake back in 2007.

Unfortunately, some pretty nasty injuries kept me out of the sport for the better part of a decade. After three shoulder surgeries, I was able to get back into disc golf a few years back. I immediately discovered just how far the technology and techniques have evolved for dying discs. I quickly started doing custom discs again, using hand-cut stencils and shaving cream, and eventually moving up to machine cut stencils, and a variety of dying techniques.

I quickly learned that I have more discs to dye than I have time to throw them, and so I started looking for ways to get my discs in other people’s hands. If you see anything on these pages that you like, or are inspired to want to do something custom, please reach out. I would love to have something I helped create bring you joy.
